Here's a list of powerful and insightful questions to ask
a real estate agent before you sign anything!
How long have you been in the business?
How many homes did you sell last year? This year to date? Can you prove it? How does this compare with the average for our area?
What are your professional designations? Are you a CRB or a CRS?
Do you offer any guarantees?
Do you have your own, not a company-generated, Marketing Plan? Can I have a copy?
Have you ever been in management? Real estate management?
Do you have any testimonial letters from previous clients that I can read?
Can I call some of your past clients?
Do you have your own personal assistant or Transaction Coordinator?
. Do you have your own website? What kind of activity to you get as a result of the site?
. What positions have you held within the real estate industry?
. What is your List Price to Sale Price ratio?
. As a large number of sales are achieved on a co-broke basis, how do you work with and interact with other real estate agents?
. As you are asking me to employ you, may I see your resume or a personal brochure or a personal profile?
